Meet Natalie
I believe real, lasting change happens when we feel genuinely met, seen, and supported.
Meet Natalie

Welcome! I'm Natalie, a grief and loss counsellor supporting adults and couples both in Fareham and online. My approach is compassionate and personalised, because I know that grief and loss touch each of us in deeply individual ways.
My passion for this work comes from my own lived experience. I've had the privilege of working with several therapists over the years, each helping me make sense of different chapters of my life: navigating childhood trauma, facing times of struggle with anxiety and depression, and grieving the loss of my dearest family members.
Through therapy, I found healing. I discovered a sense of identity I couldn't have reached alone. The experience of being truly seen, believed, and understood changed me, and continues to guide the way I now sit with others.
In the spirit of giving back, I could think of no better way to honour the therapists who walked alongside me than to dedicate myself to others in their own seasons of struggle, change, and growth. My passion is people. It's a privilege to witness their stories, hold their pain, and support their healing.
My practice name, Holding Hope, comes from a well-known phrase in grief work. It recognises that hope can feel like a heavy burden, especially in times of loss. When hope feels too heavy to carry alone, it's my honour to hold it with you, until you're ready to take it back. Asking for support is not weakness, it's a vital part of healing.
My Experience
My work is rooted in private practice, where I support individuals and couples navigating the complexities of grief, loss, and life transitions. This includes many forms of loss and change, grieving a loved one or pet, the end of a relationship, miscarriage, adjusting to life after retirement, coming to terms with childlessness, shifts in identity, or after time in prison.
My therapeutic approach is shaped by earlier work with a bereavement-focused counselling charity, alongside volunteer roles supporting individuals and families affected by life changing injuries. I continue to work with a charity helping people rebuild their lives after prison, which has deepened my belief that therapy isn't about fixing, but about walking alongside someone with care, respect, and curiosity.
